ANOTHER AWARD FOR THE ALFA GT

ANOTHER AWARD FOR THE ALFA GT

After being judged the ‘Most Attractive Car in the World’ in the ‘coupé and cabriolet-coupé category’ in Milan, the Alfa GT has now won further recognition in France. The new sports coupé designed by Bertone in conjunction with the Alfa Romeo Style Centre has won the Design Trophy based on votes expressed by readers of the prestigious monthly L’automobile Magazine. The Alfa GT finished ahead of the Mercedes CLS and Citroen C4.
The award was made during the 26th edition of Trophèes de l’Automobile Magazine that took place a few days ago in Paris and was received by head of the Alfa Romeo Style Centre, Wolfgang Egger, accompanied by Lilli Bertone.

Their joint presence again marked Alfa Romeo’s longstanding cooperation, in line with the brand’s tradition, with various Italian designers, which on this occasion has produced a model with an original line heralding all the pleasure of a sporty drive. Derived from the Alfa 156, the Alfa GT epitomises Alfa Romeo’s entire heritage of motoring excellence in a line exemplifying all the Italian design school’s hallmarks of elegance and taste. But then designers have always been able to draw on Alfa Romeo’s considerable heritage that, in this specific category, has seen many models that have left their mark on motoring history: from the 1900 SS to the Giulietta Sprint, Alfetta and Giulia Sprint GT. And speaking of the latter, this new coupé has the very same sporting vocation, smooth, tapering line and Italian elegance.
